An iPod is a pocket-sized electronic music device made by Apple Computer, Inc. that can store an enormous amount of music to play on demand. More recently the iPod has evolved to include video.
So is the new iZ toy from Zizzle an ipod?
There are some misconceptions about the iZ toy as some people have claimed that it is an ipod. The iZ toy by Zizzle is not an ipod. Rather, it is an ipod accessory simply because music from an ipod, through the cable included with an iZ, can be played through the iZ. The iZ interacts with the music.
An ipod is not required to play the iZ. The cable can be connected to any music source that has a headphone jack, so it can easily be plugged into a stereo, a computer, or even a portable CD player. The versatility of the iZ makes it easy to use any music source including tapes, CDs, AM/FM radio or even MP3s.
When you plug an ipod or another music source into the iZ, it begins to interact and respond to the music. The iZ’s horn-shaped nose lights up and flashes different colors. Its eyes bounce to the beat and it makes funny comments (both in English and in iZ language) and adds sound effects to the music.
The iZ will play music stand-alone without a music source. It takes advantage of its own “station” which is coined WZIZ FM. The iZ is not an ipod, but it works well with ipod technology as well as many other sources of music.
